SAP Analytics Cloud is a cloud-based business intelligence and analytics platform that provides a single, integrated solution for all your data needs. It offers a variety of features, including data visualization, predictive analytics, and machine learning.

Q2. For what purposes is SAP Analytics Cloud used?

SAP Analytics Cloud combines planning and analytics into a single cloud-based solution. You can simulate any scenario for improved business results, go from insight to action in an instant, and develop plans from projections automatically to support rapid decision-making.

Q3. What are the main components of the SAP Analytics Cloud?

SAP Analytics Cloud is the product of the evolution of the SAP Cloud for Planning product, released in February 2015. Therefore, along with business planning, there are other key components. These are:

  • BI (for the purpose of reporting, dash boarding, data discovery, and also visualization)
  • Predictive analytics
  • Governance, risk, and compliance (GRC)

Q4. In what ways is SAP Analytics Cloud a self-service tool dynamic?

It is easy to use and contains complex functionality, enabling users to create visualizations that solve complex problems. Much of the design aspect is relatively simple, and an end user can reach meaningful conclusions relatively quickly. For example:

  1. Dimensions can be dragged and dropped into visualizations, and the chart type can be changed at any time.
  2. Tableau’s tool tips can now be customized, and by clicking on a data point you can get a lot of information.
  3. Data visualizations can be linked using hyperlinks between stories.
  4. On the fly, analyze data points.
  5. Easily filter a map by clicking a graph point.
  6. Collaboration and commenting capabilities.
  7. Access and team controls are easy to set up.

Q5. How can you access your data in the cloud with SAP Analytics Cloud?

All the cloud analytics features that one needs are offered in a single solution. These include –

  • Business intelligence (BI)
  • Augmented analytics
  • Predictive analytics
  • Enterprise planning

Q9. Does SAP Analytics Cloud support predictive analytics?

Absolutely! Basically, historical data is examined to identify patterns, and these patterns are then used to predict future outcomes. A sales manager might find this useful if he or she wants to predict sales revenue for the next quarter.

Additionally, it is user-friendly. When you convert a trend chart to a time series chart, you are now looking at forecasted data. Another option is to use the ‘auto forecast’ function. Using this option, we will examine the data within the graph at various levels of granularity in order to generate patterns that can be applied in the future.

Predictive visuals can be created in a more controlled/complex manner for data scientists. A user can use the ‘advanced options’ selection to add additional data to the historical data on which these patterns are based – resulting in a more accurate and informed forecast. Data scientists can also further customize visualizations by integrating with an R server.

Q10. What types of data models does SAP Analytics Cloud support?

  • Customer experience
  • CRM
  • Financial management
  • Enterprise resource planning
  • Small and midsize businesses
  • Supply chain management

Q13. Do you know which machine learning algorithm is generally used with the SAP Analytics Cloud?

There are three types of machine learning algorithms, namely, classification, regression, and time-series analysis that is used for automating sophisticated predictive analysis and augmenting the BI experience with much more data and insight.

Q14. What does SAP Analytics Cloud have to offer in terms of UX?

Even B2B solutions are becoming increasingly concerned with user experience, or UX. Outside of the office, our standard of technology is so high that clunky tools cannot be used during the workday. This results in time and effort savings, as well as resulting in lower costs.
